Lethbridge Accountability
Since Wade Galloway, one of the founders of the site, has decided to run for office in the by-election he has removed himself completely from the site’s content management and website design. Lethbridge accountability is now run by Annelies van Oers with content provided by Jennifer Prosser.
Jenn Prosser currently works in the public sector, and graduated from the University of Lethbridge with her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science.
Annelies van Oers runs her own web developement/design business. Lisa Lambert is a Doctoral Candidate specializing in political parties and elections.
In the 2010 Lethbridge municipal election, Lethbridge Accountability proved itself to be a valuable resource for the citizens of Lethbridge. It achieved its goal in being open and accessible to all citizens interested in becoming informed about municipal issues.
It was inspired by the Lethbridge Skateboard Association's page that details candidate positions on new skateboard facilities. Lots of positive feedback about that feature led to discussions with Elect Lethbridge and the decision was made to launch a brand new site. By expanding the scope to encompass all issues facing our city we hope to provide a valuable service to the people of Lethbridge.
Since the unfortunate loss of the one of Lethbridge’s great citizens and an Alderman-elect, the city has decided to hold a by-election. True to our original mission, Lethbridge Accountability will remain live throughout the process and will bring you the same “one stop shop” information collection it strived to provide in the general election.
